East Lake Foundation: The mission of the Foundation is to provide the tools for families of The Villages of East Lake and students of Drew Charter School to build a better life for themselves and future generations through education, affordable housing, job readiness and connections with the broader community.
The First Tee of East Lake: This year-round golf instruction and mentoring program of the East Lake Foundation helps to enhance the academic achievement and life skills of area youth. The program serves East Lake children and teens (ages 7-18) at the Charlie Yates Golf Course, a public, 18-hole golf course that winds through the East Lake neighborhood.
Drew Charter School: Charles R. Drew Charter School — the city of Atlanta's first public charter school — offers a curriculum, enrichment and Before and After School programs that emphasize high academic achievement and character development for students in kindergarten to eighth grade.
Villages of East Lake: The Villages of East Lake is a great place to live for people who want a sense of community and the conveniences of intown living. The beautiful apartment and town home complex has tennis courts, a swimming pool and play areas and is encircled by the picture-perfect Charlie Yates Golf Course.
Charlie Yates Golf Course: Named one of the top 10 short courses in America by Golf Range Magazine, Charlie Yates Golf Course is an 18-hole, public golf course offering private course service and amenities. Net proceeds from the operations of the golf course benefit the East Lake Foundation. Junior golfers from metro Atlanta, ages 7-18, can play the course at reduced rates from Monday through Sunday.
East Lake Family YMCA: Located adjacent to Drew Charter School and across the street from The Villages of East Lake, the YMCA offers recreational and community programs, including youth and teen outreach and leadership, childcare, youth sports, aquatics, day camp, and health and wellness programs.
Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Center: Offers an infant, toddler and pre-K curriculum for the East Lake neighborhood.
The TOUR Championship: Net proceeds of this season-ending PGA TOUR event held at East Lake Golf Club benefit East Lake community programs and The First Tee.
