ELNCA Committees

2nd and Hosea Task Force: The 2nd and Hosea Task Force focuses on the supporting the redevelopment of the now vacant commercial structures at the intersection of 2nd Ave. and Hosea Williams Blvd.

Beautification: The Beautification committee focuses on improving the overall beauty of the East Lake neighborhood and residents' homes.

Business Development: The Business Development committee focuses on facilitating the development of business opportunities for the commercially zoned properties in the East Lake area.

Code Enforcement: The Code Enforcement committee helps East Lake residents stay informed of city of Atlanta codes and aids in resolving neighborhood code violations.

Community Inventory: The Community Inventory committee focuses on identifying infrastructure needs for the East Lake Community. This could include improvements such as sidewalks, lights, mixed use pathways, street improvements and more.

East Lake School Coalition: The East Lake School Coalition exists to strengthen ties between schools in the East Lake area and the community at large. www.EastLakeSchools.com

Fundraising/Events: The Fundraising/Events committee is responsible for planning ELNCA community events and raising funds for the ELNCA.

Furry Friends Fund (ELFFF): The East Lake Furry Friends Fund focuses on supporting domestic animal rescue, pet education, and preventing animal abuse in the East Lake area.

Garden Club: The East Lake Garden Club is an outlet for East Lake neighbors with green thumbs to get together and share gardening tips and socialize.

Historic Preservation: The Historic Preservation committee focuses on supporting policies that will help maintain the historic elements of new and existing East Lake architecture.

Membership: The Membership committee focuses on maintaining and increasing ELNCA membership.

Neighbor in Need: The Neighbor in Need program exists to assist seniors or others living on a fixed income in the East Lake area in maintaining their homes through volunteer labor and corporate donations.

Parks: The Parks committee focuses on supporting efforts to maintain and improve East Lake Park.

Public Safety: The Public Safety committee focuses on maintaining the safety of the East Lake neighborhood.

Security Patrol (ELSP): The East Lake Security Patrol is a private security patrol available to residents in the East Lake area.

Sun Newsletter: The East Lake Sun newsletter is printed four times a year and distributed to over 1300 households in the East Lake neighborhood, as well as surrounding businesses.
